The TH 36 – TH61 project in Maplewood consisted of milling and overlaying 13.6 miles of highway. Park Construction Company was the recent recipient of the State of Minnesota Merit Award for Outstanding Performance on this project.
The project was unique with its special parameters including weekend shutdowns, thermal profiling, intelligent compaction, and a 5.0 Void Bituminous Paving Mixture. With a scope of work of 452,846 square yards of bituminous milling and 10,3021 tons of bituminous paving, it was a challenging yet successful project.
